The Midnight Golf Program received $225,000 from the Rocket Giving Fund as a primary beneficiary for the 2019 Rocket Mortgage Classic.
The news was announced at today’s press conference at the Detroit Golf Club, where the PGA Tour event was held this summer. Jay Farner, CEO of Quicken Loans, Jason Langwell, Executive Director for the Rocket Mortgage Classic, Laura Grannemann, Vice President of the Quicken Loans Community Fund and RMC Board Member, and Reneé Fluker, Founder and President of the Midnight Golf Program were all in attendance.
Midnight Golf is honored to be a primary beneficiary of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. The event allowed students and alumni to play a starring role on a national stage in Detroit’s first-ever PGA event June 25-30, 2019.
The funds presented today will help Midnight Golf to continue its mission of supporting students through college, career and beyond.
“These funds will allow us to continue to provide our students resources and expanded opportunities that will enhance their foundation for a successful future in college, their careers and beyond,” said Reneé Fluker, Founder and President of the Midnight Golf Program. “As a primary beneficiary of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, our students received access to a world-class event in their hometown, which included career and networking opportunities. We are grateful to the Rocket Giving Fund, Quicken Loans and the entire Rocket Mortgage Classic team for their support, leadership and generosity.”

In total, $1.2 million were raised for local non-profits from the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
