WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

More Than a Program. A Launch Pad.

College Career & Beyond | Midnight Golf Program is a non-profit organization that prepares Detroit’s most promising students for success in post-secondary education and beyond.

To us, simply getting students into college isn’t enough. Graduation and career success are our goals. Our program focuses on removing the social, financial, and academic barriers that stand between students and their graduation dreams.

We are currently seeking high school seniors across Metro Detroit to apply for the Class of 2026. College Career & Beyond | Midnight Golf Program (CCB | MGP) helps young people gain access to college and provides continued support through college graduation.
 
  • The deadline to apply as a student participant for the 2025–2026 program year is Monday, September 22, 2025, at 5 p.m.
  • Student applicants must attend the mandatory Open House presentation on Monday, September 22, at 6 p.m. at Greater Grace Temple, located at 23500 W. Seven Mile near Telegraph Rd.
  • Following the presentation, student applicants will have the opportunity to schedule an interview appointment for CCB | MGP admission.
  • All interviews will take place between Tuesday, September 23, and Thursday, September 25, at the CCB | MGP Headquarters, located at 7441 Second Avenue in Detroit.
  • We expect to announce the Class of 2026 by Saturday, September 27.
 
Please note: We are no longer accepting Mentor applications for the 2025–2026 program year. Mentor recruitment for the Class of 2027 will begin in January 2026.

How to Apply

Your Path to the Class of 2027

We are currently seeking high school seniors across the Detroit-area to apply for the Class of 2027.

Complete and submit your student application before the deadline. Applications are open to high school seniors across the Detroit-area.

Deadline: September 21 at 5 p.m. 

 

All applicants must attend the mandatory Open House presentation session.

Date: September 21

Time: TBA.

Location: Greater Grace Temple - 23500 W Seven Mile Rd, Detroit, MI 48219

Following the Open House, applicants will schedule an admission interview at the CCB | MGP Headquarters, 7441 Second Avenue, Detroit.

Interview Dates: September 22, 23 and 24

Selected students will be notified and will need to provide a copy of their high school transcript to accept admittance.

Announcement: September 26

Parents of selected students will need to attend the mandatory parent orientation at CCB | MGP Headquarters, 7441 Second Avenue, Detroit.

Date: September 28 & 29

WHO SHOULD APPLY

Eligibility Criteria

Senior Year Status

Applicants must be in their senior and final year of high school during the program year. We consider students from public, charter, private schools, and homeschooled youth. 13th-year program students must be in their final year to be eligible.

Commitment to Schedule

Participants must fully commit to a twice-weekly schedule — Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

College-Bound Mindset

Students should be interested in attending college and ready to invest in their future.

One-on-One Interview

All applicants must complete an admission interview with a program mentor during the self-selected scheduled interview period.

High School Transcript

Selected students will need to provide a copy of their transcript upon acceptance.

No Golf Experience Needed. No G.P.A. Requirement.

Golf skills are not required — you will learn the game as part of the program. Academic history or current G.P.A. bears no impact on acceptance. We are looking for students who are driven to succeed.

Conduct:

Program participants are required to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the Midnight Golf Program. Essentially, participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner and will be treated with respect and courtesy at all times.

Attendance:

Participants expected to attend each session. Attendance policy is enforced.

Dress code:

Participants are required to dress in golf attire. Golf attire should be neat, fit well and consistent with the traditions of the game of golf. The Midnight Golf Program’s dress code is strictly enforced.

 

As a member of Midnight Golf Program, I agree to comply with the rules and requirements that govern the program. If I fail to comply, I will be subject to the disciplinary options of the Midnight Golf program that could include permanent expulsion. I also understand that participation in the program is strictly voluntary and I will not hold Midnight Golf or any of its employees and/or sponsors responsible for any injuries that may occur as a result of my participation.
