Dow Inc. awarded College Career & Beyond | Midnight Golf Program (CCB | MGP) a $10,000 donation during the SOAR (Success, Opportunity, Acceleration, Resilience) Inclusion Summit on Thursday, June 26, as part of the Dow Championship Tour.
Under the leadership of Dow’s Chief Inclusion Officer Alveda Williams, the surprise announcement followed a panel discussion featuring CCB | MGP Founder and CEO Renee Fluker. The panel focused on nonprofit organizations creating transformative impact through diversity, equity and inclusion.
“When you’re 17 going on 18, you still need love and support,” Fluker said. “We give that to our students through mentorship. We want them to know that we are going to be there with them every step of the way—all the way through college graduation.”
Dow’s donation will support CCB | MGP’s mission to provide life-skills training, proactive college coaching, and long-term mentorship for Metro Detroit-area youth. The initiative aligns with Dow’s broader commitment to putting inclusive ideas into action.
More than 20 college-enrolled alumni from CCB | MGP attended the summit and participated in sessions centered on resilience, career development, and removing barriers to success.
“Our students were treated to inspiring words from former AT&T Chief Executive Officer and author Anne Chow on the power and importance of diverse leadership,” said Winston Coffee, CCB | MGP’s Director of Alumni Engagement and College Partnerships. “U.S. Marine Corps veteran Kirstie Ennis reminded them of what courage and perseverance look like after surviving a helicopter crash and championing the path of mental health strength.”
Chow also gifted each alumnus a personal copy of her book, Lead Bigger: The Transformative Power of Inclusion.
Following the summit, attendees were invited to enjoy lunch and attend the Dow Championship Tour experience.
