2025 Annual College Tour That Moves Futures Forward

From March 23–29, 2025, 184 students, 56 mentors, and 6 CCB | MGP staff members hit the road for the annual college tour, Road Trip For Success, traveling across Alabama and Tennessee for a week of exposure, exploration, and life-changing moments.

The Road Trip for Success is a defining experience at College, Career & Beyond, and a traditional signature initiative of the Midnight Golf Program. For more than 20 years, this college tour has opened doors, broadened perspectives, and helped thousands of students step into their next chapter with purpose.

During the weeklong college tour, CCB | MGP participants visited eight college campuses, including Alabama State University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Samford University, Alabama A&M University, the University of Tennessee–Knoxville, the University of Tennessee–Chattanooga, Maryville College, and Miles College.

They also played golf on four courses: Highland Park Golf Course in Birmingham, Alabama; Woodward Golf Course in Bessemer, Alabama; Island Pointe Golf Course in Kodak, Tennessee; and Patriot Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City, Tennessee. This is where golf lessons, strategically woven throughout the 30-week program, took shape on the green in the form of focus, discipline and self-confidence.

Between stops, visits to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute and the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church reminded students of the historic progress that contributes to opportunities today. They also made memorable stops at places such as HeartSong Lodge, Riverchase Mall, and Birmingham’s Uptown district, just to name a few.

To make it all possible, students, mentors, families and community members came together to raise more than $249,000—backed by the annual CCB | MGP Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser.
