On Saturday, July 26, College Career & Beyond | Midnight Golf Program hosted its first annual Summer Send-Off, a high-energy college rally that brought together more than 200 students and alumni for a day of purpose, celebration, and preparation before starting post-secondary classes this fall.
Held at the CCB | MGP headquarters, the event helped students gear up for their next chapter in college with support from mentors, alumni, and community partners.
More than half of the students were from the Class of 2025, joined by other alumni from recent classes, including 2024, 2023, and earlier.
The day included four interactive breakout sessions. Topics focused on personal development, mental health, goal setting, and resume building. The goal was to provide everything students need to enter the school year with confidence and clarity.
An alumni networking mixer brought in graduates from Spelman, Wayne State, Michigan State, Florida A&M, and more, who shared candid advice about college life, internships, and staying connected to the CCB | MGP family.
Throughout the rally, students received professional headshots, enjoyed lunch from Chick-fil-A, took part in golf simulator games and putting challenges with mentors and partners.
Over 30 raffle prizes were awarded, including dorm essentials, CCB | MGP branded backpacks and throw blankets, Beats by Dre headphones, and giveaways from partners including Republic Services, Detroit Pistons, Rocket Companies, Edward Jones, Enterprise, and Whirlpool.
Republic Services, one of the event’s featured partners, announced a $20,000 scholarship commitment to support five MGP students as they head to college.
The Summer Send-Off also marked the launch of a year-long alumni engagement and persistence strategy to help students succeed through graduation. Attendees will receive a follow-up email with digital resources, breakout session handouts, and a feedback survey. Students who complete the survey will be entered into an additional prize raffle.
This rally wasn’t just a send-off; it was a statement. At CCB | MGP, we continue to invest in the futures of young leaders.
