College Career & Beyond (CCB) is a non-profit organization that prepares Detroit’s most promising students for success in post-secondary education, and beyond.

To us, simply getting students into college isn’t enough. Graduation and career success are our goals. Our programs focus on removing the social, financial, and academic barriers that stand between students and their graduation dreams.

Since 2001, College Career & Beyond alone has helped more than 4,200 students get into post-secondary programs – 70% of whom went on to graduate* – but the unique mentality of the students we work with is the real secret to CCB’s success.

Unlike so many education-focused nonprofits, CCB doesn’t even consider a student’s grades when considering them for our programs. We select our students based on their character makeup and whether or not they possess the drive and personality traits to overcome adversity and find success, both inside and outside the classroom. Because of this, CCB students are four times more likely to graduate from college than their Detroit-based peers.
