Why It Matters

Mentors Matter.

Some of the biggest barriers College Career & Beyond | Midnight Golf Program students face are a lack of access to positive role models and support systems needed to navigate the often-tricky path to and through college.

Our mentors volunteer their time to lend guidance and support to our young people for a full program year consisting of 30 weeks. Mentoring at CCB | MGP is delivered at a 4:1 student-to-mentor ratio, ensuring every student receives individualized attention, accountability, and encouragement.

We invite all industry professionals, including entrepreneurs, currently enrolled graduate-level college students, multicultural leaders and others. Your guidance could make all the difference.

What You'll Do

Three Ways
You'll Make an Impact.

01 / Nurture Growth

Over a 30-week program season (October–May), mentors serve alongside students in two 3-hour sessions per week — totaling 120+ hours of direct instruction. Mentor groups gather to share a meal, learn golf, build life skills, and connect with community partners. You help students grow professionally and personally.

02 / Remove Barriers

CCB | MGP is committed to eliminating the social, financial, and academic barriers that stand between students and graduation. Mentors help facilitate financial literacy training, professional communication workshops, resume and interview prep, career fairs, and exclusive internship access — turning obstacles into opportunities.

03 / Maintain Relationships

The commitment doesn’t end at high school graduation. Mentors remain connected through college — providing guidance on time management, academic focus and adversity. Mentors help students access internships, professional networks and emergency support when needed. Many mentoring relationships extend well into the student’s early career and beyond.

The Mentor Legacy

A Full-Circle Model.

Students see in their mentors what’s possible, because their mentors have lived it.

The mentors who show up for our students don’t just change the trajectory of one life — they strengthen families, communities, and the next generation of leaders. What makes a great mentor isn’t a résumé — it’s the willingness to show up consistently for a young person who needs to see that someone believes in them. That’s the lasting power of choosing to invest in someone else’s future.

They help students connect to internships, professional networks, and support resources when needed. Golf skills are not required — just the drive to invest in a young person’s future.
