DOVER, Del. — As part of College Career & Beyond | Midnight Golf Program’s mission to not only help high school seniors gain college access but also persist through to graduation, CCB | MGP led a campus visit to Delaware State University (DSU) this summer to help students take the next steps toward enrollment.
Founder and CEO Renee Fluker and Director of Alumni Engagement & College Partnerships Winston Coffee accompanied six high school seniors on a two-day visit to DSU’s campus in Dover, Delaware, June 5–6. The trip was designed to give students an up-close look at the university and finalize their college decisions.
“Many of our students are admitted to college but still struggle with choosing the right fit,” Coffee said. “This trip was about turning interest into action, helping them experience DSU firsthand and begin their enrollment process while on campus.”
Delaware State University is a college partner of CCB | MGP. Through this partnership, DSU provides financial support to close tuition and housing gaps, covering need-based aid and support through specialized programs.
During the visit, students were greeted by DSU staff and a CCB | MGP alum currently working at the university, who guided the group through the campus experience.
As of August, three of the six students who visited have officially enrolled at DSU. The remaining students chose different college options, but each participant benefited from the immersive visit and received hands-on help navigating their next steps.
CCB | MGP continues to expand its network of college partners to ensure Metro Detroit youth persist through college and graduate with the support they need to succeed.
